Meet Garry Hoy, the man who proved to a group of students that the office building windows would not break if he ran and jumped against them so they have nothing to worry about.
To prove it, he did just that. He ran, jumped, and slammed against the office windows on the 24th floor of a skyrise building.
The glass did not break… but the frame holding the glass in place popped out.
Garry Hoy fell 24 floors before the fatal brute force impact.
He previously demonstrated the strength of the glass window by slamming himself against it.
Was he right? — Yes
Was he a critical thinker? — No
Critical Thinking 101: There is no need to prove something that does not need to be proven.
Whoa! 😳
