Season 7 of “The Cosby Show” has an episode titled, “The Last Barbecue”, where Dr. Huxtable, played by Bill Cosby, gives a secret barbecue sauce to family members without them knowing that it contains something to make them want to have sex with their partners. Huxtable launches into a speech about the special powers of his sauce.
“Haven’t you ever noticed after people have some of my barbecue sauce, after awhile when it kicks in they get all huggy-buggy?” said Huxtable. “I’m dead serious, haven’t you ever noticed that after one of my barbecues, and they have the sauce, people want to get right home?”
At the end of the episode, Huxtable even suggests to his TV wife, Claire, that he has “a cup of it up on the night table” and that they should “go on up and have some sauce.”
The whole Cosby thing is a sham. The women wanted something and Cosby wanted something as well. There is no such thing as “free”.

I will concede that is a possibility for the charges against him but the article I wrote doesn’t talk about right or wrong just his wink to us from the show about his habits.
If I remember correctly Kevin Spacey and a few others may have done the same thing in shows they produced.

It was one of those “Hollywood” open secrets. None of these people were unsuspecting innocent victims. Just like all of the Weinstein “victims”.

I would disagree. I don’t think any of the women thought he was going to rape them. Maybe some (but not all) knew he had issues (but again no proof).

Who really knows what happened, whoever they are, we’ll never know.

I didn’t care for the Cosby show, the Fat Albert cartoon though…

Right!
The “subliminals” are evident NOW, but went unseen back in the day.
That’s the way subliminals work, staying hidden and only come out when the time is right. – sigh

OR
Maybe people can’t help themselves and spill who they really are through their craft.
If so… maybe we should be looking for one offs like that episode. It seems like the real truth is delivered in one off shows not the shows that keep a topic going from episode to episode just the topics that appear once and never again.
Like a release valve for hidden stress due to perversions.
Just a thought

I have sometimes wondered that. Same with Harvey Weinstein. What do you think of Weinstein?

Weinstein was recorded by one of the victims.

Same, the women didn’t have a problem when they were getting work and getting paid. Once their eggs dried up and they lost their sex appeal, suddenly they were victims.

I remember I once saw an episode of his show – and it was quite funny! It’s a pity how he turned out.

There seems to be a trend with a number of the wholesome shows ending in a really dark way.
Bob Saget from “Full House” and Miley Cyrus from “Hannah Montana” come to mind.

Bill Cosby is such a hypocrite (and a predator).
