Never Tolerate The Intolerant

Why do we let monsters walk among us?

We know who they are because they favor aggressive abusive personal comments towards others. They are nothing short of hate engines, designed to stir up divisive rhetoric to pit people against each other.

But why do we tolerate them?

They can’t have decent conversations, they don’t respect anyone other than themselves. They cause division and generate anger and hate.

But why do we feel a need to allow them space in our world.

They are worst than narcissist and you should never take them seriously.

Keep this in mind: When they run out of others to destroy, they will turn and destroy you. They were never on your side.

  3. Okay, but here’s the conundrum: if I refuse to tolerate the intolerant, wouldn’t I then become one of the intolerant? :/

    • You Stated — Okay, but here’s the conundrum: if I refuse to tolerate the intolerant, wouldn’t I then become one of the intolerant?

My Response — No. One is a state of being and the other is a moment in time.

The one who has no tolerance for you is not the same as you reaching a limit of your tolerance of them.

  4. Intolerance is just as natural as tolerance. You have to learn to trust the bad as well as the good and use it to your benefit. Trying to rid the world of it is the accelerant that keeps it alive.

    • You Stated — “Intolerance is just as natural as tolerance.”

My Response — That is a true statement, but a natural response to an un-natural act is not natural. Such a thing would require a much higher level of natural, so high that we would not understand it.

A man murdering children in a playground does not elicit tolerance in the parents watching. Tolerance may be a natural reaction but in this case it would be an un-natural response. The parents should not tolerate the killer.

If this were an experiment and there were observers in a secret location, they would be able to tolerate the killings. Or even if they had a much higher understanding of science, as to be able to recover the life of the children at a later date. Tolerance for them would be easy.

You Stated — “You have to learn to trust the bad as well as the good and use it to your benefit. Trying to rid the world of it is the accelerant that keeps it alive.

My Response — There is no reason from me to favor good or bad and I have no desire to cure a world of anything.

I think it is natural for individuals to aggressively detract from those who would impose restrictions on them as human beings in respect to a lack of tolerance based on their beliefs, culture or political views.
