I Made A Drink To Help My Wife Sleep And Now Other People Are Drinking It So I Thought I Would Share The Recipe… But Can We Improve On It

My wife has trouble sleeping and needed a replacement for Melatonin  supplements. So I started experimenting with tea combinations until I made the following.

The drink is made of 8 teas and one concentrated flower extract (see below).

  • Valerian Root Tea
  • Organic Chamomile Tea
  • Magnolia (Hou Po) Bark Tea
  • Passion Flower Tea
  • Lemon Balm Tea
  • Organic Lavender Tea
  • Nighty Night Tea
  • Soothing Caramel Bedtime Tea
  • Passion Flower Concentrated Extract

I bring 1 gallon of water to a slow short boil. I take 3 of each tea and dip them in the water 25 times (each group). I then cut the strings on the bags and leave them in the water steeping for 4 hours .

I pour the water and the tea bags into a one gallon sealed pitcher and place it in the refrigerator for just over 24 hours.

I pour a full tall glass of tea and add the Passion Flower extract (one full dropper).

The feedback I received from one person was that it, “knocked him out”. Another person stated it was like, “a sedative”.

The dreams you have after drinking this tea is something special.

Do you know any way to make it even stronger than it is now?

  5. The easiest way to make it stronger is to let it steep longer. The longer the tea bags are in the stronger to tea.

  7. I’d be interested in hearing your thoughts on an energy drink. The opposite of a soporific. Energy is really my focus these days as I’m working on my blog in a lot of my
time (click on my name to visit) and thoughts of politics, war, corporations have been keeping me up …
