People Call God A Liar Because They Can’t Accept The Truth — Is Being Gay A Choice

I hear this often from my fellow theist, as they talk about what’s a choice and what’s not a choice, but from a bible perspective this was answered a long time ago.

John 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Colossians 1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

Matthew 19:12 For there are eunuchs who were born that way, and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by others—and there are those who choose to live like eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. The one who can accept this should accept it.”

Exodus 4:11 The Lord said to him, “Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or mute? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Is it not I, the Lord?

1 Timothy 4:4 For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving,

What was made?

Some people are born with both male and female sexual organs, they are called hermaphrodites. A person born with both ovaries and testicles and has both male and female sex organs.

In 5-alpha reductase deficiency (5-ARD), androgen levels are normal but an enzyme necessary for male genital development is missing; these individuals may appear to be female and may be raised as girls, but at puberty they develop masculine secondary sex characteristics.

A female pseudohermaphrodite – a genetic female but has male external sex organs.

A male pseudohermaphrodite – a genetic male but with external sex organs that fail to develop properly, resulting in female or male/female physical characteristics.

Intrauterine hormonal effects. In congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH), a female fetus (XX) has high levels of adrenal hormone and is born looking like a boy.

In androgen insensitivity syndrome (AIS), a male fetus is unresponsive to androgens and is born looking like a girl.

This question has also been answered from a science perspective.

Biologists have documented homosexual behavior in more than 450 species proving that same-sex behavior is not an unnatural choice, and may in fact play a vital role within populations. Numerous studies have established that sex is not just male or female. Rather, it is a continuum that emerges from a beings genetic makeup.

“’Teacher,’ his disciples asked him, ‘why was this man born blind? Was it a result of his own sins or those of his parents?’ ‘It was not because of his sins or his parents’ sins,’ Jesus answered. ‘He was born blind so the power of God could be seen in him’” (John 9:2-3).

Stop hating on individuals for not being born like you, it’s cowardly, instead be bold and tell God directly how you feel.

Everyone is their own person, a wonderful and beautiful being. Leave them alone and let them live their lives in peace.

  1. …..instead be bold and tell God directly how you feel.

Exactly how would one go about this?

  2. In that case, Christians should also stop hating on dictators, murderers, rapists, thieves and kiddy diddlers, because they too are “wonderfully made” (Psalm 139:14) and fashioned to serve the glory of God (see Romans 9:14-23 and Romans 13:1-6).

    • You Stated – “In that case, Christians should also stop hating on …rapists… and kiddy diddlers”

My Response – I disagree with your assessment that anyone who is born a hermaphrodite is a rapist and pedophile simply because their genes produced multiple sex organs.

Your assertion that a person born with different organs conflates with a person raping a child. Your argument is not convincing, so I still believe the bible is correct in stating that people are “wonderfully made”. A decision to steal or kill is not related to a physical organ and what it is designed to do.

      • Then you misunderstood my point. The argument is not an accusation that hermaphrodites are necessarily rapists and pedophiles, but that God is ultimately responsible for the behavioral characteristics of everything he created (including Mao and Stalin and Hitler and Pol Pot and Jeffrey Dahmer and Ted Bundy, etc. )

        • You Stated — “God is ultimately responsible for the behavioral characteristics of everything he created”

My Response — But that’s not the argument you gave. You conflated gene assignment with rapist and pedophiles, it’s an old argument that both bigoted theist and atheist use to ostracize people of minority genders.

Neither science or the bible support such a view directly or indirectly.

It’s nonsensical to conflate how one is made in relation to a thought.

          Example following your new assertion:

You are suggesting that a person is born atheist, by god’s design. Your argument is even less convincing with this new position than it was with the first.

          • Yes. I am stating that if one proposes that God is the author of all that exists, then it follows that God formed both your genetic and behavioral traits.

            • You Stated — “I am stating that… God formed… your… behavioral traits.”

My Response — That’s a provable fallacy since we now know for a fact, through AI, that a creation does not follow the creator when allowed to control it’s own import and response functions.

We have been sending out the exact same AI now for years, watching them form different opinions, ideas, and beliefs based on social environments.

They are even having trouble making them believe something that the programmers want retained. Social input is so powerful that it overcomes programming.

I’m not convinced by your argument but at least it’s moving away from the bigotry in your first response.

It’s more interesting a discussion when we don’t make minorities seem like bad guys for being born in bodies they didn’t choose.

              Just saying
