If your church stated that Trump was going to win the election, because God told them so, then you need to read these verses for clarity.
Deuteronomy 18:20-22
20 But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.
21 And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the Lord hath not spoken?
22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.
Denise Goulet’s prophecy:
Pat Robertson’s prophecy:
6 They have seen vanity and lying divination, saying, The Lord saith: and the Lord hath not sent them: and they have made others to hope that they would confirm the word.
7 Have ye not seen a vain vision, and have ye not spoken a lying divination, whereas ye say, The Lord saith it; albeit I have not spoken?
8 Therefore thus saith the Lord God; Because ye have spoken vanity, and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against you, saith the Lord God.
Hank Kunneman’s prophecy:
Chris Yoon’s prophecy:
Kevin Zadai’s prophecy:
Tracy Cooke’s prophecy:
Ezekiel 13:10
10 Because, even because they have seduced my people, saying, Peace; and there was no peace; and one built up a wall, and, lo, others daubed it with untempered morter:

Robert Henderson’s prophecy:
John Hemans prophecy:
Kent Christmas’s Prophecy
Robin Bullock’s Prophecy
What did your church say?

Jon Montalban’s Prophecy

Is every religion full of crackpots or just yours?

Think bigger: Crackpots are everywhere, even in atheism 😉

Do tell? I can’t remember any dire predictions failed by atheism, but I am not a recall genius like my friend Phillip.

I’ve argued with a few over things like sandy hook being fake and how the police state is coming.
There is no shortage of crackpots on either side.
Conspiracy theories are spreading everywhere, it’s been going on for years.

Well, the non-believer creates the illusion of another god which he worships – the State, or some utopia, or some book which he thinks contains all truth. There really isn’t any but one.

To me sandy hook is just too easy to verify.
I think these are just mean, lazy people believing in some of these conspiracies. It’s cruel to the families. America can do better.

Yes..and that one is God, not false prophets. Once heart goes out of religion, it isn’t religion anymore. If your prophet lives in a mansion and drives a better car than you do, perhaps he has motives other than telling you the truth?

More likely he doesn’t even know the truth so he sells life coaching or prosperity. Christianity as practiced today is not the good news, yet even the disciples didn’t get it either. From the pulpits comes “dear people be good” and the churches lack religious experience, while the good news jesus was actually trying to demonstrate is forever hidden from view.

You Stated — “while the good news jesus was actually trying to demonstrate is forever hidden from view”
My Response — Isn’t the opposite true?
The good news is in plain sight and the multitude of churches flat out ignore it to promote hatred and greed. Along with politicians, the rich, and big business (just saying… it’s a group effort)
Religion has been buried by used car salesmen promoted to the pulpit.
But… at the end of the day, we can only blame ourselves for not helping ourselves, each other, our planet, and those most in need.

My Response — (From a Bible perspective) Heart is not needed for religion it is only needed for people. Religion only needs to do what it was designed to do regardless of how people feel.
James 1:27
27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.
I have seen very little if any religion at all for nearly 40 years in America. Most towns and some cities have no religion at all. I would, at this point, say America is almost a religious desert.
One of the largest religions in America that I am aware of is “Feeding America”. They come to work and do the job of perfect religion and like all workers, it doesn’t matter how they feel or what they believe.
If they become polluted with greed, theft, etc. Forbes will let us know via their annual report.

Hear, hear. Couldn’t agree more. I have a poem that I wrote 45 years ago entitled “I Just Get My Religion from People.” I still believe that… and nature. Not what people say but how they interact and how I interact with them. True religion is doing, not believing.

Really, I don’t care. Just as soon sit on the patio and watch the city lights.
How have you been lately? One of these days I’d like to vacation down your way and see the city. How people survive and thrive amazes me. And baffles.

Been good, trying to navigate a COVID world. My dog lost use of her back legs and was in so much pain we had to put her down (really rough)
Trying to relax more and enjoy good food while spending more time at home with the wife.
Maybe thoughts like vacationing will be possible again one day… just seems far away
How goes it with you?

Life is good and tiring all at once. Put in some soffit today on the addition. I have all my siding and will start putting it on soon.
The backwards way everyone judges the world is getting tiring. Life is better than that, I suppose. But maybe not. It’s always so messy. I’m thinking vanaprastha is in my future.

I feel that we have overdone it and rejected the best parts of being, with that short sightedness. We have a habit of selling solitude while simultaneously wrecking it.

I watched some Somali immigrants come to the U.S. It was funny, but they could not tell if the food here was real, or was what it said it was on the package. Nothing tasted like food.
We’ve been sold a bill of goods that has not really anything good about it.

In America we get to see what a world looks like in which science is controlled by the rich to manufacture convenience to fuel wealth while the minds of the masses are brainwashed by competitive ideologies for the sole purpose of distraction.
Religion, politics and just causes being dictated by the rich for the workers to argue back and forth over while the planet is emptied of all it’s resources.

At the start of the conversation I wouldn’t have known Jim and Lander were friends, but toward the end was surprised to see that was, in fact, reality. Friends of sorts. Don’t know if you’ve actually ever met. It’s definitely nice to see people able to debate back and forth without regressing into speciousness, name calling, and even profanity. Something millennials call “adulting”, I think?
This is a quote I found recently that has inspired the ending of the fourth (and final) book of my series. I think this is true to the depths of my soul. We’ve definitely lost the reason for being, and only
entropy and chaos has followed.
We are not yet in the world
There is not yet a world
Things are not yet made
The reason for being is not found

You Stated — “I wouldn’t have known Jim and Lander were friends”
My Response — Yes, Jim doesn’t take sides and he will call you on your BS in a heartbeat, no matter who you are. He also has a mind open to truth and doesn’t support turning the world into a chemical toilet. You could say we are from the same tribe with separate, but not volatile, philosophies of our experience in the now.
You Stated — “We’ve definitely lost the reason for being, and only
entropy and chaos has followed.”
My Response — 2 things, I have great reasons for being and most of them are food related but my wife is number one.
Second, on a quantum level entropy is actually focused order. As we see entropy (like an egg exploding), pure chaotic mess, on the quantum level particles increase in organization in respect to the observer.
The more entropy we see with our eyes the more organized the universe becomes (at the smallest levels) to make it visible.
Just a thought
This is my favorite quote:
“Everything we hear is an opinion, not a fact. Everything we see is a perspective, not the truth.
