Scientists at Boston Children’s Hospital have designed a micro particle that can quickly oxygenate blood.
It will allow a person to breathe even when cut off entirely from air.
The microparticles can keep a person alive up to 30 min after respiratory failure.
Dr. John Kheir first began the study and works in the Boston Children’s Hospital Department of Cardiology.
