From 1956 to 1957, the United States Army conducted a number of biological warfare experiments on the cities of Savannah, Georgia and Avon Park, Florida.
Millions of infected mosquitos were released into the two cities. The mosquitos were infected with yellow fever and dengue fever.
Hundreds of people became sick and showed signs of fevers, respiratory problems, stillbirths, encephalitis, and typhoid. Several people died as a result of the research.
In order to monitor up close the results of their experiments, Army researchers pretended to be free public health workers.
Yellow Fever:

- The incubation period is 3 to 6 days
- Fever
- Headaches
- Chills

- Bleeding in the mouth
- Bleeding in the eyes

I had Encephalitis as a child during this period near Savannah Ga. A little girl in the hospital died while I was there with encephalitis. General Information on this is in the CIA FOIA reading room. No one was ever held accountable and the public has never been fully informed except in the CIA obscure reading room. An apology and a few hundred thousand dollars would be acceptable.

Several other groups gathered together and launched lawsuits for a number of experiments in the same time frame and have won. Although the government did not acknowledge any wrong doing for a few of those but still paid out for all of them.
They will most likely never come forward on their own, they have to be taken to court.
