Chester M. Southam injected over 100 Ohio State Prison inmates with live cancer cells in 1952

He then later injected live cancer cells into 22 senile black female patients at the Brooklyn Jewish Chronic Disease Hospital.
Southam also worked in Africa injecting an assortment of rare and common viruses including mumps, dengue, West Nile, and Semliki Forest virus in severely ill cancer patients.
All of this was done in the name of science for research in the human immunological response.
Several physicians refused to take part in the experiments and resigned their positions.
As a reward, Southam was elected president of the American Association for Cancer Research just a few years later.
At least some people had their moral compasses switched on !
