Interesting post, the video was quite entertaining. I must say though, with everything we learn and everything that gets developed. We still cannot actually develop the human spirit, logic need not apply. As far as our brains are concerned, we know more about space and the oceans than we do of the infinite of our own brains.
We are simple in composition, yet complex in our adaptation and procedures.
Amazing stuff, scary stuff, wondrous stuff. Once cloning body parts becomes affordable, will we still need to die? What will be the consequences of immortality? (I wrote an epic poetry collection science fiction story about that in 1998, approx. rawgod,tripod,com/FirstLife/index.htm )
Ahh.. this explains the other reply. I read them out of order. It looks interesting, I’m reading it now. I’m a slow reader so this will take some time. I jump around reading about 6 books at a time.
I could, but just never thought of it. You remember those things called desktops, I believe. I’d have to go back to my desktop, my tablet doesn’t let me copy and paste for some reason. My old tablet used to, but my new one won’t. I’ll see what I can do.
I was talking computer apps. I just learn to use an app and they update the damn thing and it never works the way it did. Word Press app is the worst of the ones I use. So I stopped using it.
A tad off-topic, but the externalised costs of the (in many respects wonderful, I agree) advances have a rather unfortunate downside, as illustrated by this:
That is a downside (maybe even criminal negligence) but it’s also an opportunity for even better technology. I would also add we have been finding strange things under the ice that may have never been found before (opportunities everywhere you look)

They now have these tiny tablet PC’s for those who never want to go back to desktops. All for around $100

Ah, yes, I’ve come across that. It’s marketed as ‘progress’, I believe.

For every advance, 4 things that once worked no longer do.

You Stated — “For every advance, 4 things that once worked no longer do.”
My Response — True, but who cares, the advances are worth it.
Air conditioning
Netflix
Wine
Pizza
I say keep those advances coming.

It took awhile but I now love the new WordPress app.
As for new… Windows 11 is about to go public and it’s going to have a ton of changes. You may want to start drinking more now before it gets here.

Don’t be a quitter, we just need to find the correct alchohol and drug mix.
Remember, each failure is just another opportunity to discover the truth.

Thanks, but I don’t do mind-expanding drugs either anymore. I achieved what I wanted out of them. Now I am just me.
