Paratrooper Arthur Boorman returned home injured from the Gulf War, doctors told him he’d never walk unassisted again.

He suffered from chronic back and knee problems. 15 years later, at the age of 47, he discovered DDP yoga, shed 140 lbs, regained the ability to walk unassisted and toned his body.

His family documented the entire transition on video.
This yoga also can also reset the mind and help people with (PTSD).

I am a mother and this helped me!

The power of the mind is awesome! Have you ever heard of Pat Rummersfield, the fully functional quadriplegic with 85% of his spinal cord destroyed? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pat_Rummerfield

From my understanding of physiology he has retrained the somatic nerves to reverse course, and instead of merely sensory signals sent to the brain, he is using them both directions. Or, he has tapped into the data stream and opened himself to use his dream state (imagining himself playing basketball) and started moving his toe, then on and on progresses.

Very exciting things going on with this individual. If only we could push more studies in this direction. (and money)

Interesting, I think this is an exciting time to be alive. Even so, when I look back at medical practices say a hundred years ago and wince at what they had to endure, I have to wonder if people will look back on us and do the same thing. Things are changing fast.

I remember that video. Saw it sometime back. I can attest to the power of yoga…and the power of the mind.
