The band “Depeche Mode” recorded a song in 1989 called “Enjoy the Silence” and released it on 16 January 1990. They created a music video for the song, which I have listed at the end of this post.
Where this gets strange:
In 1990, a promotional video for “Enjoy the Silence” was shot by French TV while standing atop the World Trade Center at the WTC rooftop World observatory, South Tower. It begs the question, why create such an odd second release and what does it have to do with a love song?
The song lyrics produce an interesting connection to 911 but the new video is a spooky direct connection. Listening to the song while watching the video is surreal.
Words like violence
Break the silence
Come crashing in
Painful to me
Pierce right through me
They can only do harm
Feelings are intense
So does the pain
This is the original music video for “Enjoy the Silence“.
Appreciate it for all your efforts that you have put in this. very interesting info .
