It’s a sad truth but many religious people believe God sanctions rape. It’s a strange and sick belief by many who claim to know how God thinks. Why someone would believe something as sick as this is beyond understanding but be warned, just because someone says they love God doesn’t mean they do or that they have any respect for human life or dignity.
Even more disturbing is when those religious concepts mix with politics.
Indiana Senate candidate said that when a woman is impregnated during a rape “it’s something God intended.”
He Stated: “I think even when life begins in that horrible situation of rape, that’s something God intended to happen.”
One candidate said during a television interview that women’s bodies have ways of preventing pregnancy in cases of what he called “legitimate rape.”
“If it’s legitimate rape, the female body has ways to try to shut the whole thing down,” he told a St. Louis TV station in 2012.

It’s truly sick but it’s true. I’ve talked to many Christians who say they love you but when pressed about rape they will quickly move to this position.
It’s almost always because of women who got pregnant after being raped and began looking at possible abortion options. That is usually when you hear the truth of their belief.
Keep in mind this is not the view of Christianity, just a large number of people who say they are Christian.

Oh cause some Christians are pro life so I guess that would make sense. But it’s still wrong. And yeah, I understand that. I know a lot of people who are christians and don’t believe that.
