Asbestos, Quebec is a town in Canada and the site of one of the world’s largest asbestos mines. A major landmark in the town is a crater more than a mile wide and deep enough to hold the Eiffel Tower. Quebec once produced half of the world’s asbestos before concern about cancer led to the fiber being banned in more than 50 countries.

The four cancers determined to have a causal relationship with asbestos include lung cancer, mesothelioma cancer, ovarian cancer and laryngeal cancer.

With all that said the town seeks only to make even more Asbestos in the hopes of making more money. Somehow the rich are never satisfied, no matter how many lives you throw at them.
